LunaLux Emblem LunaLux Support

How can we help?

Support for LunaLux Editor and LunaLux HDR. Every message is read and answered by the person who builds the apps — there is no ticket queue and no bot.

[email protected]

We usually reply within one business day.

Reporting a problem

Including these four things in your first email usually saves a round trip:

  • Which app and which version — the version number is in the app's About window.
  • Your macOS version and Mac model (Apple menu → About This Mac).
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot if anything looked wrong on screen. Please don't send photos you'd rather keep private — a description is usually enough.

Frequently asked

What do I need to run LunaLux Editor?

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, M4 or later). No internet connection, account or sign-in is required.

Does the app modify my original photos?

No. Editing is non-destructive. Your adjustments are stored in a small recipe file kept alongside the photo, and the original file is never rewritten, converted or moved. Exporting always writes a new file to a location you pick.

Where do my edits go if I move the folder?

With the folder. There is no central catalogue database, so copying or moving the folder to another drive or another Mac carries the edits along with the photos.

Is any of my data collected or uploaded?

No. All image processing happens locally on your Mac. The apps collect no personal data, contain no analytics or advertising SDKs, and your photos never leave your machine. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.

My scanned negative doesn't invert to a good colour. What now?

Scans vary enormously depending on the scanner's own white balance and how much of the film base is included in the frame. Start from the neutral recipe, set the film base point on an unexposed area of the rebate if your scan includes one, then correct temperature and tint before applying a stock emulation. If a particular scan still fights you, email it over and we'll take a look.

Editing feels slow on very large files.

Preview rendering is resolution-aware, but stacking several heavy effects (halation, grain, dust and a sprocket border together) on a 50-megapixel frame is genuinely expensive. Working at fit-to-window rather than 100% while you grade, and adding texture effects last, keeps things responsive. If you hit a case that stalls, tell us the file size and which panels were active — that's exactly the report we need.

How do I request a feature or report a translation error?

Just email it. The apps ship in seven languages and wording corrections from native speakers are always welcome — say which language and which screen, and it will make the next release.
