100% Local On-Device Processing
Your photos are your creative property. LunaLux HDR runs 100% locally on your Mac's Apple Silicon hardware. Your RAW files and photos are never uploaded to the cloud, never transmitted over the internet, and never used to train machine learning models.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
LunaLux HDR is designed as an offline darkroom utility. We do not collect:
- Your Photos or RAW files: All decoding, tone-mapping, and gain map generation occur entirely within your Mac's memory and local disk.
- EXIF or Location Data: Camera metadata (such as GPS coordinates, lens details, timestamps) is preserved strictly on your local exported files and never read or harvested by us.
- Browsing or Library Habits: We do not monitor which directories or photos you process.
2. Payment & Purchase Information
When you purchase a LunaLux Pro license, the transaction is handled by our authorized Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company).
- Financial Information: We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers or banking credentials. All billing data is processed in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's strict PCI-DSS compliant security standards.
- License Verification: To activate your Pro license, your license key and an optional instance name (e.g. "MacBook Pro") are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS to Lemon Squeezy's API for validation.
3. Software Updates (Sparkle)
LunaLux HDR uses the industry-standard, open-source Sparkle Framework to check for software updates. When the app checks for updates, it queries an anonymous RSS feed (https://updates.lunalux.app/appcast.xml). No personally identifiable information (PII) is transmitted or stored during update checks.
4. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising SDKs, or third-party behavioral trackers inside the LunaLux HDR macOS application or on our website.
